HGS's final competition took place at Gog Magog Golf Club on 6th and 7th October 2025. The event was held over 2 days with the HGS Rose Bowl played for as individuals on Monday and the Sir Frank Newnes Bowls played for as a 4 ball better ball on Tuesday. The weather was superb on Monday with the sun burning through but unfortunately the sun decided to hide behind the clouds on Tuesday and the temperature dropped several degrees. Both courses were in very good condition with the recent rain making them much more playable than in recent months. The HGS Rose Bowl on Monday was won with a score of 35 points by John Redden. On Tuesday, the Sir Frank Newnes Bowls were won by Simon Partridge and Ian Devenish with a better ball score of 46 points.

We only have one more competition this year and that is our annual fixture against NFU, which will be held on 22nd October..... and HGS will be looking for a "three-feat" as we have won for the past 2 years.
